Nadia Halim

Nadia Halim is a Cairo-based motion designer crafting title sequences and broadcast identities across film, television, and streaming. Trained as an editor before moving into motion, she treats a title sequence as a promise the rest of the work has to keep — pacing, typography, and sound design set up in the first ninety seconds so nothing that follows has to work as hard.

Practice

Work runs across two registers: restrained broadcast identity systems (channel idents, lower-thirds, transition libraries built to survive years of daily rotation) and one-off title sequences for feature and documentary work, where the brief is usually a single mood board and a deadline. Both start the same way — with the edit, not the visuals — building a rhythm track before a single frame is designed. Arabic kinetic type is a specialty: matching stroke weight and baseline motion to how the script is actually read, not adapting a Latin animation template after the fact.

Commissions

Recent work includes the opening titles for a Cairo International Film Festival documentary selection, a full broadcast identity refresh for a pan-Arab streaming channel, and recurring title design for a regional true-crime series now in its third season. Nadia works with a small in-house team of two for sound design and rendering, keeping every project hands-on rather than handed off.
